Fruit Loops Crochet Factory

You need three colours A lighter, medium, and darker colour.

Head; Start in lighter colour:

Rnd 1: sc 6 in magic ring (6)

Rnd 2: inc in all sc (12)

In the next to round, change from light colour to medium at random, tie off all loose ends.

Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)

Rnd 4: (sc 2, inc) x6 (24)

Continue switching between the light and medium coloured wool, but occasionally have one or two sc in the darkest colour from now on.

Rnd 5: (sc 3, inc) x6 (30)

Rnd 6: (sc 5, inc) x5 (35)

Use mostly medium coloured wool with some random chunks of light and dark

Rnd 7-9: sc in all sc (35)

Rnd 10: (sc 5, dec) x5 (30)

Rnd 11: (sc 3, dec) x6 (24)

Rnd 12: (sc 2, dec) x6 (18)

Stuff the body, if all of the tied off bits of colour swaps don’t take up enough space already.

Rnd 13: (sc, dec) x6 (12)

Rnd 14: dec in all sc

Do not tie off or close the head, put it to the side, with lots of spare yarn connected to it, but seperate from the ball of yarn.

There are three types of tentacles in this pattern, we’ll call them the chunky, normal and skinny tentacles.

Chunky tentacles; Make four, two in your darker colour, one in medium and one in light.

Rnd 1: chain about 10-20cm (you can choose how long, I would advise each tentacle is a slightly different length)

Rnd 2: turn, inc in all sc

Tie off with lots of excess to use when attaching the tentacles to the body

Normal tentacles; Make three, one in each colour.

Rnd 1: chain about 10-20cm (you can choose how long, I would advise each tentacle is a slightly different length) You should be able to see where you started the chain is curling around itself a little bit, twist the tentacles in the same direction they are curling naturally to make them appear thicker, and more like a spring than a string.

Skinny tentacles; Make two, one in the darkest colour and one in the medium colour.

Chain about 5-10 cm, but after every ch, pull it as tight as it will go, to make a very thin, tight tentacle.

Attach the tentacles to the bottom of the jellyfish however you like and then tie off the body.
